Summer time
Ok, so I haven't written a blog for quite some time....I could say I am busy etc but I actually literally forgot...woops! So I am going to make a really big effort to do a monthly one.
28 gates has been going along smoothly, we were booked out over the Christmas/New Year period until I blocked it out in the middle of January, so we could have a break away with the children....sometimes you just have to do it when you have your own business and for sanity! Don't get me wrong, I LOVE having guests here.
Summer is such a beautiful time to visit here, obviously the weather is a big factor and we have had AMAZING sun! Crops are being harvested and then more sown, lots of watering with the pivot irrigators, lambs are being sold, sheep vaccinated, fencing and general farm stuff! There is never a dull moment here. People ask if there is ever a quiet time but really there isn't. Winter tends to be the time we get away for a break (you cant have one on the farm as all the work is around you).
So I have a few exciting adventures with 28 gates. There are 2 small old buildings near 28 gates and we have cleaned them out and they are going to be museums! We have SO many old memorabilia pieces here and old photos etc which need to be displayed and enjoyed by all. We are so fortunate to have so much information about the property and it will be an exciting project for me, as I love being creative and I have so many ideas for it, so watch this space....

In the colder months we will have a fire pot for you outside ..... how nice would it be to come back from fishing, walking, travelling around in the Valley, to a hot fire with marshmallows ...warm fuzzies thinking about it!
I would love any feedback or suggestions what we could do with our little luxury farmstay....I am open to anything.
