May 2021 ( feels like February!)

Its already May, I seriously don’t know where the months are going.

So we said goodbye to our Phoebe and Tom in February who have both gone to the mainland to Universities to study nursing and Agri Business management. Its always hard saying goodbye to the children but they are enjoying their next phase of study and it gives us an excuse to go and visit them!

28 gates has been steadily booked and by all accounts from the reviews, we have happy guests! I am in the process of editing audio of my father in laws accounts of the Blacksmith Shop. Its taking a bit longer than I expected due to life on a farm! But hope to have it all completed by the end of the year. The history of this property ceases to amaze me and Geoffs memory is outstanding. I just want to bottle it all up so we don’t lose any.

PETS - in December last year we welcomed Burt, our miniature pig to the pet family. He is the friendliest pig ever and loves pats and a good scratch. He is very popular with our guests. In January, Quest , our sons dog who is a full bred Huntaway came back from Victoria. She is a beautiful, friendly and adaptable dog and is loving life here. She has just recently had 12 puppies (sadly one passed away). She is a an amazing mum and the puppies are adorable. Guests are loving them.

Lots is happening on the farm, we are having a great season and all our Lakes are still full, which is wonderful. There is lots development happening but thats another story for another time! You might just have to come and find out.

Until next time, stay happy + healthy + and as Sheda Savage quotes ‘Travel expands the mind and fills the gap’
